fiona rainford: stitched and felted textiles
my recent work revolves around natural processes related to the passage of time. Growth, decay and weathering all mark the movement of time. I particularly like close up and microscopic images, places often hidden or unnoticed. My work encompasses several textile techniques but felting and stitching predominate.
